LOS ANGELES, June 18, 2008 – Agenda Latina 2008, an issues forum sponsored by Grupo Salinas, Fundación Azteca America and Azteca America Colorado wil l be broadcast nationally on Friday, June 20 at 8:00 pm on Spanish-language broadcast television network Azteca America KMSG TV-39 Fresno, KFAZ TV-8 Visalia, DirecTV-39, Dish Network-39 and Comcast-77. The program will also be available as a simultaneous webcast at www.fundacionaztecaamerica.org.
“Our goal is to inform, motivate and empower Latinos to become politically aware and active in discussing relevant issues, including the economy, health, education, immigration and the Latino vote,” said Luis J. Echarte, Chairman of Fundación Azteca America.

The program includes Latino community positions from top national leadership of Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute, Labor Council for Latin American Advancement, Southwest Voter Registration Education Project, National Association of Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), National Council of La Raza, NDN, Republican National Hispanic Assembly and Voto Latino.
The program will be moderated by Noticiero Azteca America Washington Correspondent and Issues: Caras and Voces host, Armando Guzman; together with Colorado radio broadcaster Fernando Sergio from Denver’s Radio Qué Bueno; and Nancy Agosto, Los Angeles Correspondent of Noticiero Azteca America.

Participants include Colorado Governor Bill Ritter and US Senator Ken Salazar, as well as a distinguished list of panelists, including: Southwest Voter Registration Education Project Vice President Lydia Camarillo, Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute Executive Director Octavio A. Hinojos a Mier, Labor Council for Latin American Advancement Executive Director Gabriela D. Lemus, National Council of La Raza Director of Immigration and National Campaigns Clarissa Martínez De Castro, Voto Latino Executive Director Maria Teresa Petersen, NDN Vice President Hispanic Programs Andrés Ramírez, National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Executive Director Arturo Vargas, and Republican National Hispanic Assembly National Chairman Raul Danny Vargas, in addition to special guests Tiempo Latino Associate Publisher Alberto Avendaño and Democratic Party Vice Chair Alex Rooker.
