Latin Band

Susie Hansen, electrical violinist,
and her sizzling, swinging salsa band from Los Angeles open
the Plaza season with our traditional Latin Jazz concert.
Hansen combines her own interpretation of traditional Cuban-charanga,
Afro-Cuban, and straight-ahead jazz.

Mariachi Tenochtitlan - Tribute to Pedro Infante

Pedro Infante
(1917-1957)
Pedro Infante was perhaps the most famous actor and singer
of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, and he is still an idol
of the Mexican people. Tonight, Mariachi Tenochtitlan and
guest artists, pay tribute to him with
the songs he made famous.

Zebop: Music
of Santana

Taking their name from a classic 1981 Santana album of the
same name, Zebop consists of seven energetic and talented
musicians from the Bay Area who take pride in performing the
music of Santana with passion, dedication and originality.

Contreras

Fresno’s own Patrick Contreras returns to the Plaza with his
friends and a new CD. Patirck’s music is rooted in Latin and
Rock music with influences of Jazz, Blues, Soul, Funk,
Arabic, Classical and Hip Hop.

Born out of the belly of the San Joaquin, Mezcal, the latin/rock
band from Visalia has been entertaining for the last three
years. Their Latin grooves have taken them from a Dinuba
packinghouse to the Rose Bowl Cinco de Mayo Festival.

Cerro Negro

The San Diego trio of John Martin III on percussion, lead
guitarist Dusty Brough and rhythm guitarist Frank Giordano
play passionate Flamenco, Brazilian and Jazz including
Balken, Django Jass, Turkish and Peruvian — playing
tomorrow’s music today.

sold-out concerts in our Plaza, the legendary new Trio Los
